 This vehicle was intended to act as a mechanical elephant, carrying explorers and their crew both swiftly and in total safety through any environment. But with no enclosed spaces, a completely exposed observation deck, minimal armor and no weapon mounts whatsoever, it quickly received the the nickname "Steam Powered Snack Tray", as it was discovered that velociraptors are very clever and will use any available terrain to gain access to the open-air crew area.  28mm and 8 1/2"h x 3"w x 4"d. Fabricated from the bottom half of a WILD WILD WEST movie toy, a 100 count card box, a bit of chain, lots of plastic card and rod, and a saber-toothed cat skull from the ol' bits box. Made this back in AD 2000. Yes, each rivet was drilled and set. |

The way I've been doing them so far is to cut thin, long strips, and then cut off small squares. Then I cut around the small square to made it look more rugid. More time consuming that the rod way, but I think it looks better...
Mind you, having said that, I haven't tried the rod way yet.
